Our current focus is on helping large and small IT organisations with a focus on the public sector work together more effectively. We have been following government's SME agenda since 2009 and have explored the challenges that large and small organisations often face when working together along with potential solutions to these challenges and the potential rewards of getting the relationship right. We also have a good understanding of what government is trying to achieve with its SME agenda and of its preferred way of working with SMEs. We work with both large IT organisations (to help them work more effectively with SMEs) and SMEs (to help them win more business from the public sector either by partnering with the larger players or by helping them find direct routes to market).
Our clients say we're different because we bring a different perspective or understanding to their situation. In the case of large players, we bring an SME perspective. In the case of SMEs, we bring an understanding of the best routes to the public sector market.
Our arrangements with clients typically reflect a mutually agreeable way of working. The best type of arrangement is one where a client has a problem which they must solve and are looking to engage with someone who has the skills, knowledge and experience to help them solve it. Working in this way we positioned HP for its $1bn contract extension in 2005, making an $80m sale in the process.
