Management and Leadership
Effective Management of Change
Date: 14 April 2008
Cost: £395+VAT

Would you like to raise your capability as an effective leader or practitioner in managing all types of change in your organisation?

In today's commercial environment companies have to adapt to external changes quickly and efficiently. This may mean introducing more effective systems and tools, restructuring work or reshaping the organisation itself. Organisations that have no effective process for managing change generally take longer to implement change than those that do. In addition they can find that the desired change does not happen in practice and they need to go through the same loop again and again.

This course provides you with a process and set of practical tools, and the understanding of how to apply these to your own change initiatives within your specific company culture. It will use your current and past experience of implementing change, and where you have current or imminent change initiatives the course will enable you to plan ahead.

Understanding Markets
IT Support for NHS Contract Management
Date: 17 April 2008
Cost: £295+VAT

This course provides an overview of current trends in healthcare service commissioning and specific opportunities for specialist business information support to help optimise management of NHS provider contracts.

With a major NHS review scheduled for mid 2008 and the outside possibility of a snap General Election, we can expect more changes over the coming months. The outcome of all these changes will no doubt provide further challenges for Trust and PCT managers. This new Intellect workshop is designed to help assess the IT implications and associated strategic opportunities for suppliers.

This workshop will be of specific interest to management, strategic planning and marketing representatives from a wide range of vendors offering technology, applications and professional services to the UK Healthcare IT market, including current LSPs and other NPfIT contractors.

People Management
What's your Conflict Colour - Red, Blue or Green?
Date: 21 April 2008
Cost: £395+VAT

Conflict can be good for business. However, differing work styles and conflict can lead to reduced efficiency, increased employee absence, and even loss of good people.

On a positive note, understanding how to manage and read the true motives behind conflict can be good for business. There are ways to "have a nice conflict" - conflict that improves interactions and enhances productivity. People can work together more effectively when they better understand themselves and colleagues and feel in control of their own behaviour choices - both when things are going well and during conflict.

This course will use the SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory) as a conflict management and relationship-building model and tool. In easy to remember vivid colours, participants learn how differences in relating styles represent individual strengths and how these differences might lead to conflict.

Communication
Producing Better Proposals
Date: 28 April 2008
Cost: £395+VAT

This one-day workshop is designed to help delegates understand what they and their organisation need to do to produce better, more client centric proposals

Producing better proposals is dependent on many factors, but there is no substitute for really understanding the client’s requirement, having a compliant solution, developing a winning bid strategy and win price, identifying your key sales messages, and creating a compelling management summary that 'fronts' the actual proposal. Apply creativity and innovation to all of these factors, and you have the winning formula.

This is a truly unique, structured, client centric approach to enable organisations to develop the skills and processes required to produce proposals quickly and effectively, using a real client tender, either recent or live. It also includes the use of a number of innovative worksheets.
