Hot Topics in Employment Law

The HR Group’s annual Employment Law Update event was recently held at Intellect’s offices in Russell Square House.

Olga Aikin, Senior Partner of the Aikin Driver Partnership, was the speaker. Olga is well known throughout the HR profession and is one of the leading authorities in the field of employment law. She addressed three key perennial employment law ‘hot topics’ – Absence, Family Rights and Redundancy and Re-organisation. She extended her presentation to include details of the new draft TUPE Regulations including pension implications.

Olga gave an informative and topical analysis of these topics which included discussing with the delegates the practical implications of the legislation and how they related to current business issues. She welcomed interaction from delegates who were able to pose questions and raise issues of particular interest to them and discussions continued during both the coffee break and over lunch. Olga supplied comprehensive documentation to support her presentation.
