Meeting dates
Focus: anticipating new regulations from policy announcements and head off action before officials become committed and lobbying on new requirements from drafting stage right through to implementation dates. The committee lobbies on policy, standards and conformity in electrical safety such as fire, burn, electric shock, chemical, acoustic, mechanical and radiation; telecom terminals regulations; the impact on product design of new limits on exposure to electromagnetic fields; the impact of degradation in the quality of electricity supplies and conformity assessment regimes, especially the freedom to self-declare versus mandatory third party testing.
