Commenting, Sinead Quinn, healthcare programme manager at Intellect, said:

“Telehealth is a growing area in the UK and we were delighted to attend this event in Harvard to highlight best practice and new initiatives coming out of the UK and the comparison with advances in the US. We are happy to hear that NHS Connecting for Health (NHS CFH) is exploring how assistive technology might be provided on a bigger scale but in a sustainable way for the longer term and we hope that this will pave the way for new opportunities for our member companies.”

The purpose of the annual symposiums is to bring together thought leaders from each aspect of healthcare and technology, to discuss the innovative applications of new healthcare communications technologies. It focuses on the application of these technologies and the impact on providing quality patient care, the management of telemedicine programs in healthcare settings and strategies for integrating connected health throughout the healthcare system. Senior healthcare executives, hospital administrators and IT directors, payers, providers and technology executives are among those who attend.
