Focus: communicating Intellect strategy and policy objectives to Government, Ofcom and other regulators on wireless issues including spectrum allocation policy and licensing. Members of the council are drawn from senior representatives from Intellect member companies with significant wireless related business. The council works to promote the use of wireless technologies for the benefit of Intellect members, industry and the UK and European economies.

Key focus areas:

  • provide a clear statement of what the industry wants in terms of UK Government policy and regulation
  • ensure that regulation and spectrum allocation match the industry vision
  • promote a national strategic plan for wireless
  • generate a much stronger voice for Intellect within the EU on all issues in relation to wireless
