JETSECC is the Intellect export control policy committee. The committee influences EU and UK legislation through direct contact with Government and advises on dual-use exports legislation, supporting Government negotiations at Wassenaar Arrangement meetings.

Particular priorities for JETSECC are working with the DTI Export Control Organisation to simplify licensing procedure and make it business-friendly, and thus improving competitiveness, and maintaining liaison with the Defence Manufacturers' Association, the Society of British Aerospace Companies and other organisations as may be necessary to work towards a unified voice on export control matters.
