Information Age Partnership

The Information Age Partnership (IAP) is a unique relationship between the Government and the UK hi-tech sector. The Secretary of State and senior ministers meet with chief executives of the leading companies in the industry to determine the strategy for rapidly implementing and exploiting digital technology.

Working groups progress the tactical development to deliver specific programmes for implementation. The recent focus is on innovation; education and skills; procurement for public value; and the Lisbon Agenda and UK Presidency of the EU.

Helping to drive the agenda to improve the UK market for IT systems and services, and develop the UK as a vanguard knowledge economy, Intellect capitalises on its exceptional position in the sector and engages actively with the IAP. Intellect is a leading participant and is contracted to DTI to deliver the effective governance to create an operating environment of innovation and growth.
