Description of QMSAC
This new Committee has been set up to advise UKAS on matters relating to the accreditation process for QMS certification (ISO 9001) and how its accreditation services for QMS certification might develop in response to purchaser and market needs. It is purely an advisory committee and does not directly report to the UKAS PAC, however the existence of other advisory committees within UKAS demonstrates general acceptance of the influence of this type of special interest group. The primary focus is to allow stakeholders, principally end customers of certification services, to influence the effectiveness with which the Accreditation process delivers quality products and services. Intellect is represented on the Committee to provide the voice of the Industry and to be instrumental in shaping any future changes in the operation of the Accreditation process.
