Meeting dates

  • 14/04/2010 - Education Group - Driving a step change in efficiency and productivity in UK education

Focus: The Intellect Education Group was established in 2006 in order to produce a response to the Education and Skills Select Committee’s ‘Inquiry into Sustainable Schools’. Intellect was subsequently invited to give oral evidence at the hearing.

Currently the group is working on a series of thought leadership papers.  These will focus on how to capitalise on the investments that have already been made in education through more efficiency and productivity, changing the nature of the learning environment in the UK to develop learners' skills across their lifetimes, and improving social inclusion / building better communities.

The group also holds quarterly seminars with senior level speakers from government departments, agencies and other key stakeholders.  A management committee led by members is responsible for developing the group’s programme of activities and setting its overall direction.
