In his current role as Director of Product Marketing, Gary is responsible for Oracle9i and the Oracle E-Business Suite Product Marketing Programmes. Gary is responsible for all aspects of Oracle’s product value proposition as well as formulating and driving marketing campaigns whilst advising sales teams on Oracle’s strategy in emerging technology markets such as Web Services and Grid Computing. His role has involved working closely with established Oracle partners such as Compaq, HP, Sun, PWC and KPMG. Gary has been in the IT industry since 1984 and before joining Oracle, Gary worked for Sherwood International PLC as a technical consultant on a new project for Local Authority Housing. He acted as the “technical trouble-shooter” within the organisation before moving into project management for the implementation of the Life and Pensions administration systems. Gary is married with 3 children. He has a keen interest in sports, particularly rugby.
