Nick joined Intellect in October 2000 and is responsible for developing and promoting Intellect’s programme and member facing activity with relation to public and private sectors at both the central and local level. This includes working with the Office of Government Commerce on the Senior IT Forum and programme managed the development of the IT Supplier Code of Best Practice and Intellect’s Concept Viability Service; he also liases with other leading opinion formers including the e-Government Unit, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the National Audit Office, and SOCITM. Nick also has overall responsibility for Intellect’s Special Interest Groups. He is also a member of the Home Office ITCE Sector Board. Nick has extensive experience of the workings of both Whitehall and Westminster. Prior to joining Intellect, Nick spent a number of years working for public affairs consultancies, Ludgate Communications, Text 100 and IGA specialising in IT. Major accounts included advising Microsoft, SAP, Sema, Amazon.co.uk, BT and Xerox. Nick is regulary approached for comment by both print and broadcast media, with recent contributions including interviews with Radio 5 Live, BBC Breakfast and Good Morning Scotland, the Guardian and the FT on the subject of ID Cards and articles published on various issues relating to Government IT Projects within Computer Weekly, Computing, Government Technology and the FT.
