Enterprise Architecture Workstream

The workstream was established earlier this year with the aim of addressing the strategic challenges faced by public sector organisations that may ultimately require an IT-based solution.

The workstream will focus on an Enterprise Architecture for government to address these challenges, with a focus on deliverables for central government that will provide a basis for future transformation.

Its key objectives are to:

• engage in a constructive dialogue with government through the CIO/CTO Councils to establish a common understanding of key terms and concepts
• help the government to develop a pragmatic approach to EA and ensure that public sector strategies/plans will lead to a solution that is fit for purpose
• help to educate the wider public sector on the potential cost reductions and other benefits that can be generated by EA
