Chair Gavin Jones IBM
Gavin Jones is IBM’s North East Europe Leader for the Energy & Utilities Industry and has specific responsibility for leading the team selling Intelligent Utility Network solutions in the geography.
Gavin Jones has been involved in driving IBM’s sales of new and innovative solutions for many years, and brings this wide expertise to IBM’s growth initiatives for Energy & Utilities. As sales leader for North East Europe Gavin is responsible for growing IBM’s business with customers in the industry, helping them meet the ever-growing changes and challenges facing them, such as the changes that moves to the intelligent network will bring.
Prior to taking up his current role, Gavin Jones has been involved in IBM’s Pervasive Wireless Solutions since the Emerging Business Organisation (EBO) was established in 2000. Pervasive Wireless Solutions is one of the key strategic growth areas for IBM, and the EBO was established to provide integrated sales, services, marketing and business development for Pervasive Wireless Solutions focused on customers across all industry segments.
The EBO was instrumental in developing many the solutions such as automated meter management, remote asset monitoring, and RFID tags.
Before joining the Pervasive Wireless Solutions EBO, Gavin Jones was a senior manager in IBM Global Services working with customers throughout EMEA from across a wide variety of industries.
