Intellect's Security and Resilience Group represents the interests of its membership across the many sectors and markets involved in security and resilience.

In the 21st century, information, communications and electronics are the key assets in homeland security and resilience, and our members' technologies help protect the UK against a range threats and hazards – from terrorism to flooding to infrastructure failures.

On its own contribution and as an enabler which improves the performance of other sectors, the technology industry is strategically vital to Britain's security and resilience, and is a willing partner to Government in improving capabilities and the performance of the market.

The group's work includes thought leadership, policy consultation and market/business development strata, and the group aims to build a strong relationship between the technology industry and policymakers, customers and end users.

Group aims and objectives:

  • facilitate industry's contribution to policy through dialogue with stakeholders, including responses to consultation
  • develop the market's knowledge of sector developments through a programme of speaker led meetings with figures from Government and beyond
  • utilise industry's experience and expertise to help policymakers address threats and hazards
  • raise awareness of the technology industry's role as a critical stakeholder in national security & resilience
  • assist suppliers in showcasing innovation and ensuring visibility across the supply chain
  • encourage networking and collaboration between members
