Buying Solutions User Guide

Buying Solutions User GuidePublished: Updated April 2009
Type: Business guidance
Area:
Government IT

Summary

Intellect has developed the Buying Solutions User Guide in conjunction with Buying Solutions and a selection of users from government departments and agencies.

The guide is designed to enable potential public sector users, particularly those with little or no experience of Buying Solutions framework agreements, to reduce the time and cost of procurement and to ensure they choose the most appropriate supplier. The online, interactive guide includes links to a glossary and to useful websites. Although Buying Solutions has a wide scope, this guidance focuses on ICT and consultancy.

Buying Solutions framework agreements are pre-completed supplier lists that are EU-compliant. They are available for use by the public sector in the UK. Frameworks are proven to reduce the time and cost of procurements and the competition between suppliers to get onto a framework results in value for money for the public sector.
