At a glance: aims to represent, develop, and present a collective industry perspective on framework agreements in the public sector and their future.

Biography

Focus: The group consists of members companies who are proactively engaged in developing the industry perspective on Framework Agreements and active across the UK public sector. Members offer informed opinion to government and other stakeholders and inform the supplier community about developments and activities.

Key issues and goals:
  • provide a two-way communication channel between the industry and public sector on framework agreements
  • establish a Government Frameworks Strategy that deals with the concerns of industry around lack of a coordinated approach to frameworks, aid government in its collaborative procurement strategy resulting in an improved working environment for all parties involved. 
  • establish Framework best practice that simplifies, reduces costs and timescale in procurements
  • identify how the public sector procures, will procure in the future, and the role of framework agreements in public sector procurement
  • help companies identify frameworks other than Catalist to sell to the public sector
  • provide feedback and improvement suggestions to relevant stakeholders (such as OGC, OGCbuying.solutions, government departments, etc) on the practical experience of its members in using government frameworks
