About the group:

The Frameworks Working Group was set up in July 2005 to represent member companies’ interests regarding the various Framework Agreements active across the UK public sector.

The working group consists of members from the technology and telecommunications industries, who make an active contribution and are proactively engaged in developing the industry perspective on frameworks. Members offer informed opinion to government and other stakeholders, and work to inform the supplier community about developments and activities in this area.

Aims and objectives:

  • communicating to Intellect members what the rebranding of OGCbuying.solutions Frameworks as Catalist will mean for companies in practical terms
  • understanding how the public sector procures and will procure in the future, and the role of framework agreements in public sector
  • drawing up a complete list of all existing framework agreements across the public sector
  • communicating to Intellect members the existence of other framework agreements in the public sector –other than Catalist – and how companies can use those frameworks to sell to the public sector.
  • providing feedback and improvement suggestions to relevant stakeholders (such as OGC, OGCbuying.solutions, government departments, etc) on the practical experience of its members in using government frameworks
  • providing a two-way communication channel between the industry and public sector on framework agreements
  • forming the industry position on public sector framework agreements; what the industry regards as the "ideal framework"; and industry’s vision for the future
