Vice Chair:

Next meeting:

Intellect’s Defence and Security Commercial Council (DSCC) represents the specific interests of its member industries in the commercial aspects of Defence and Security; aiming to ensure awareness of current customer thinking and assisting them in formulating contracting approaches within the technology environment.

Engaging primarily with MOD and appropriate Agencies, the DSCC represents industry’s collective views on contracting topics, and provides a forum for members’ and customers’ stakeholders to share understanding, expertise, experience and, as appropriate, policy changes affecting contractual relationships between MOD, OGC, other Government Departments and Intellect members.

The DSCC’s activities include:

  • A programme of regular meetings, including key customer representatives by invitation
  • Production, as appropriate, of guidance and white papers on specific policy topics associated with contracting
  • Engagement with other industry bodies to contribute specialist Intellect sector input to wider industry views

The aims and objectives of DSCC are:

  • Facilitate industry’s contribution to contracting issues and policy through dialogue with stakeholders, including responses to formal and informal consultation
  • Advice on best practice, including the sharing of experiences and Contracting solutions
  • Enhance and maintain members’ awareness of developments in contracting methodologies by Government – specifically focusing on issues associated with the technology sector in Defence and Security, but also, as appropriate, OGC and other Government Departments.
  • Facilitate and encourage networking and collaboration between members and customer stakeholders
Provide specialist views on issues affecting contracting in the technology sector to the NDIC and CPSG as appropriate
