New Research on USA e-health Markets Published
A new report on growth opportunities for UK SMEs interested in expanding their business into the U.S. e-Health Markets is now available. The publication is part of Intellect, the trade association for the UK hi-tech industry, and UK Trade & Investment's (UKTI) programme of researching niche focussed business opportunities in overseas markets. The USA research (commissioned from Frost & Sullivan) was conducted in partnership with the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI).
The research is the fourth part of an intense project previously focusing on e—Health markets in Australia, Canada and Germany. The four pieces of research ensure UK companies have free access to relevant information, which will support informed decisions on whether and how to develop business in these markets.
More than 80 phone and face-to-face interviews were conducted in the USA with vendors, professional e-health associations, primary care practices and hospitals. The research confirms how big, fragmented and aggressive the US Healthcare IT market is and the importance and type of extensive preparation required of any UK company wishing to enter this market. US market trends, drivers, opportunities and entry barriers are amongst other areas covered in the report.
The findings and recommendations of the USA research will be presented at an USA Healthcare workshop in early June. The USA research itself, along with the research for Australia, Canada and Germany, can be downloaded below:
