Phil Inness is Managing Director of Axis Electronics. He formed Axis, an electronic manufacturing service provider specialising in low to medium volume, after leading a successful management buy-out of part of Texas Instruments, when it closed its Bedford operations in 1995. Phil graduated from Liverpool University with an honours degree in Electronics and started his career at Thorn EMI as a graduate trainee. Prior to starting Axis he held a number of quality and management roles in Siemens and Texas Instruments. He is on the board of Bedford Development Agency and Renaissance Bedford. Phil Inness has a BEng in Electronics and is an MBA.
