Intellect in partnership with OGF-Europe

Intellect has joined in partnership with the newly created Open Grid Forum (OGF) – Europe project. Launched on the 19 February by the Open Grid Forum, the EU funded project will seek to drive grid adoption and innovation across Europe in research, government and industry.

Intellect will be working with OGF-Europe to deliver outreach seminars and workshops, adoption challenges and recommendations reports, community surveys, best practise reports and tutorials in order to advance understanding and investment in grid technologies. The first outreach seminar is planned for Spring 2008 in the UK.

Ian Osborne, Project Director at Intellect said, "It’s good news for Intellect and the UK e-Science and industrial grid user community that our leadership in the field has been recognised by the award of this Framework 7 project to a community at the heart of which is our successful Projects team. We look forward to expanding our grid activities to encompass the broader agenda of an open forum in Europe, to promote open standards and the adoption of European innovations in grid computing."
