Richard Fletcher
EADS

Richard is Senior Policy Adviser to EADS UK and EADS Defence and Security.

He was a member of HM Diplomatic Service between 1966 and 1998; senior appointments included Director for Central and Eastern Europe 1990-1992, Director of Security & Public Affairs 1992-94 and Director of Personnel, Finance and Technology 1994-98.

On retirement from Government Service, Richard was appointed Vice President, Government Relations, Nortel Networks EMEA 1998-2001 and represented Nortel on the FEI, later Intellect, Board. Richard returned briefly to Government Service to act as a Technology & Industry Liaison Adviser 2002-2004. He joined EADS in 2005.

Richard was educated at The Leys, Cambridge and Balliol College, Oxford. He attended the Cabinet Office’s Top Management Programme in 1994 and was awarded the CMG in 1996.
