Vice Chair Graham Arthur Microsoft
Graham Arthur is a UK qualified lawyer specialising in IP law, particularly in the field of digital copyright. Since 2006, Mr. Arthur has worked at Microsoft in the UK, where he is involved in a range of IP related issues, including anti-piracy, licensing and public policy. Mr. Arthur is involved in all pertinent IP policy issues in the UK. Mr. Arthur earned his law degree at the University of Birmingham, and worked for a number of years in private practice in the IP field. He has extensive experience in such diverse areas as commercial litigation, IP litigation, copyright and trade mark matters, and for several years acted as Counsel to the Business Software Alliance (BSA) in the United Kingdom, responsible for all litigation and public policy matters for BSA in the UK. He also advised BSA regarding IP public policy matters in several European markets, including enforcement reforms, substantive law changes and anti-piracy best practices, and has extensive experience regarding key European instruments in the area of IP policy.
Mr. Arthur is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
