David Barrett is an international figure in the world of outsourcing having worked with suppliers and customers in both the public and private sector in many countries. He has published numerous articles on outsourcing and speaks at conferences throughout the globe. In recent months he has spoken in Hong Kong, London, Singapore, Shanghai and in Las Vegas to international events. 
 
David is a founder member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and is both a member of its Advisory Board and Chair of its European Board. 
 
David started his career with IBM where he held a number of senior appointments both in the UK and abroad. He then qualified as a solicitor and ended-up heading the technology and outsourcing practice at a leading international law firm before moving out of the law to set-up and head the boutique advisory practice, PROCURiTAS. 
 
David's specialism is the commercial aspects of sourcing transactions and how they are "deal engineered" both from conception to execution deploying specialist techniques that are designed to ensure "win: win" solutions that come to fruition quickly and efficaciously.  
 
David has and continues to work in the UK and the rest of Europe, Asia and North America. A particular area of expertise of David's has been in public sector outsourcing where he has worked on a large number of high profile projects in the UK and other countries. He has also been very active in the outsourcing in the financial services and telecommunications sectors and in relation to business process outsourcing, knowledge process outsourcing and information technology outsourcing in in-shore, near-shore and off-shore environments. 
 
PROCURiTAS specialises in deal-engineering and structuring of complex sourcing transactions working with customers, suppliers and wider advisory organisations. Headquartered in London, PROCURiTAS operates throughout Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia.
