First Ondemand has been awarded Approved Partner status within the Government’s e-Delivery Team’s (eDT), Government Gateway Alliance Programme (GGAP).

EDT is a division of Transformational Government within the Cabinet Office, and is based in Birchwood, Warrington. The primary purpose of EDT is to sustain and develop the Government Gateway. To date GGAP (Government Gateway Alliance Partnership) has signed up over 40 private sector IT companies in order to co-ordinate and promote the roll out of the Government Gateway across the Public Sector

It acts as an intelligent hub; providing authentication services, verifying the integrity and validity of submitted transactions from citizens and businesses, and routing them to and from appropriate government organisations. It provides the infrastructure for the effective sharing of information, whilst enabling efficient management of security and privacy, as appropriate.
