Richard’s experience spans the chemical and IT industries, and the arts world. He was Group VP IT for the chemical major ICI (1993-1999), subsequently chairing the outsourcing consultancy Morgan Chambers plc and the website performance testing company Site Confidence Ltd through 2004. His personal practice (‘Dr Richard Sykes’) is as an advisor in the strategic transformation as services of technology and business process sourcing, outsourcing and offshoring business models. He chairs Solcom Limited, and is on the global advisory board of Quickstart Global Limited and the UK Business Development Board of Cordys Limited. He is an Associate of Bloor Research and of CSC’s Leading Edge Forum. In the arts world, he has chaired the De La Warr Pavilion Trust since 2002. At Intellect, Richard is active in the Outsourcing and Offshore, and Outcome-Based Agreements Group (as Chairman), the Professionalism Working Group, and in helping build links with India’s NASSCOM.
