About the group
The Major Events Group focuses on major events being held within the UK, exploring the opportunities these events create for members and examining how the use of technology in the development and staging of these events could be promoted. Aims and objectives The group focuses on key stakeholders and their procurement processes in order to aid members in accessing the opportunities that major events create, both for members who are prime contractors, and those who are second- and third-tier suppliers. It aims to do this in a number of ways.
Further work will involve looking at market opportunities in greater detail and looking at other areas of major events, such as the concept of legacy, that members would be keen to explore.
