At a glance: The UKeHA SME Group was merged with Intellect in 2008 to become the Healthcare SME Group. The group serves as a forum for SME-specific issues and highlights the role SMEs play in providing innovation and patient-centric solutions.

Focus:

 

  • act as the voice of SME member companies who operate in, or have an interest in supplying products and services to the healthcare and related markets within the UK and other geographic markets
  • provide a forum for discussion of SME-specific issues
  • ensure that members are informed about the market and potential issues and opportunities

Key focus areas:

  • serve as a forum for SME-specific issues
  • promote the voice of SMEs in the healthcare arena, and highlight the role SMEs play in providing innovation and patient-centric solutions
  • garner support from NHS Connecting for Health and larger companies to highlight the work being done by SMEs in the sector
  • encourage other healthcare SMEs to become active in this industry forum
  • maximise the marketability of SME members’ products and services in a changing environment
  • encourage networking and collaboration between members for their mutual interest and benefit
