Barbara has enjoyed a varied career focusing mainly on international technology marketing. She has worked with a series of start-up technology companies in the US, Canada and the UK to bring to market innovative products ranging from speech recognition to consumer digital imaging software.
She has also served as an International Trade Specialist for the US & Foreign Commercial Service of the US Department of Commerce, a Circus Instructor for Club Med Inc., and as an IT liaison for the American Electronics Association. Barbara holds a Master in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California.
Barbara co-founded Sapior in 2000 to develop software that enables organisations to utilise and share data ethically. Sapior software solutions employ Pseudonymisation, an innovative privacy enhancing technology, to protect sensitive data.
She has been active with Intellect, previously serving as a core member of Intellect's Business Growth Forum management committee.
