Addressing information risk and compliance Published: 2008
Type: Business guidance
Area:
Document management

Summary

Ever increasing regulatory pressures, and increased regulatory focus on better risk management, are becoming one of the primary operational concerns for businesses, regardless of size or sector.

In this paper we examine the drivers that make compliance such a key issue, the role that information management has to play in sustaining compliance and reducing risk, and how document management technologies can alleviate some of these key issues.

This paper is primarily targeted at individuals across all industries, that are responsible for:

  • regulatory compliance (eg CCO, CFO, Head of Compliance)
  • operational risk (eg CRO, COO, Risk Officers)
  • legal matters (eg Legal Counsel, CLO, Company Secretary)
  • and IT roles that interface with these business functions (eg CIO, Information Architect, Security Officer, Records Manager)

It is also provided to increase the awareness of those who help prioritise initiatives (eg senior managers).
