Laurence Harrison Director Consumer Electronics / Energy & Environment
Laurence is Director of Digital Communications and Convergence, and Energy and Environment at Intellect, the trade association that brings together hi-tech companies to inform and influence public policy, develop markets, and improve business performance.
Laurence has responsibility for Intellect’s work on the role of technology in tackling climate change, environmental policy and regulation, wireless spectrum, satellite, next generation broadband, intellectual property, trade policy, and electronics components and manufacturing.
Laurence is also directly responsible for developing and promoting Intellect's programme of activities for Intellect’s consumer electronics members. This includes running Intellect's work related to Digital TV Switchover, the growth of Digital Radio, the impact of digital convergence and the energy efficiency of devices. Laurence sits on the board of Digital UK, chairs the Digital TV Supply Chain Group, and is a member of the Digital Radio Working Group. Prior to joining Intellect Laurence worked for the CBI where he had responsibility for representing SME and trade association members. Contact details:
