Carrie Hartnell Head of Industry Strategy
As Head of Industry Strategy, Carrie Hartnell is responsible for promoting the important role of the technology industry to and within the UK economy. Her role focuses on stakeholder relations, promotion of member capabilities and developing a better understanding between the business world, Government and the technology industry.
Carrie has been responsible for the development and delivery of Intellect’s business programmes in both the horizontal and vertical markets, and has been with Intellect for around 5 years. Carrie is actively involved in the furthering of skills and diversity in the technology industry, and sits on a number of relevant advisory committees including the ITCE Sector Panel on Work Permits and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills’ Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics panel. Other areas of interest lie around the promotion and use of technology in a globalised world and the current concerns with sharing and security of data. Carrie is regularly approached for comment on a number of issues with appearances in Computing, IT week, Computer Weekly and the FT. Carrie has a BA hons in Politics and Business from Keele University, and prior to her current role worked in public affairs around technology and healthcare, and event management. Contact details:
