Women in IT Forum - Mentoring Scheme Women Returning to Work
Intellect's Women in IT Forum is supporting an initiative run by UK Resource Centre for Women in SET & Jive, offering a free Open University Course to women currently on a career break. The Return Campaign is a national scheme which offers a range of services to support qualified and experienced women returning to science, engineering and technology (SET) and the built environment. This includes connecting women to networking organisations, mentoring schemes, courses (including an online course with the Open University), events, training and employers. Return services are aimed primarily at qualified women who are trained to degree level or higher in SET, or women who have been working in a job where a degree would usually be required. As part of this course they develop a Return to Work Action Plan. They are also offered the opportunity to have a mentor to support them in putting this plan into action. To find out more about mentoring or any of the Return services download the UKRC flyer: Call for Mentors (PDF 459KB) more» The scheme is looking for working women to act as mentors. If you feel you could be a mentor to a woman returner, please complete an application form by clicking on the following link:
