Summary
At the recent Digital Britain Summit, Stephen Carter described himself as a “faux Minister.” Perhaps then we need more of them. In this short document we give our very early, and very largely positive, reactions to some of the important topics in the Digital Britain Final Report.
In summary it celebrates the vital role of a thriving technology sector in the UK and sets out solid plans for a digital future. Next Generation Broadband means jobs, economic growth and innovation in the UK. A recent LSE study suggested up to 280,500 jobs could be created or retained by next generation broadband networks.
