Intellect and The Royal Society of Arts (RSA) project 'Technology in a Cold Climate' continues today with its half day symposium

26 October 2009

An opportunity to bring together representatives from industry, academia and policy making to discuss

“How can technology help meet some of the challenges that the UK is facing today?”

The project has already resulted in four papers which will be presented at individual sessions examining:

  • technology’s application to delivering better and more cost-effective public services
  • the benefits of greater digital connectivity
  • the potential of technology to transform society towards a more sustainable form
  • the innovative behaviour that is essential to developing the kind of entrepreneurial action needed

These sessions will draw on the paper and expert panel but will be opened up to input from everyone in the room and those online with an aim to try to come to an agreed set of priorities/recommendations for the UK.

The day is going to be live blogged and discussions, ideas and priorities can be followed at the following:

We are interested in your views and input, from comments and recommendations to research and opinion.
