Gateway Reviews must be shared with Suppliers

Intellect has today spoken out in support of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee Report into the impact of the OGC on major IT-enabled projects.

Commenting on the findings of the report Nick Kalisperas, Director of Public Sector at Intellect said, "Intellect believes that OGC has made an impact on the delivery in IT-enabled projects. However significant issues remain in the path of successful IT-enabled project delivery."

"In our view the first step must be the sharing of Gateway Review reports with suppliers, and following this OGC must prioritise the embedding of the process across all Government departments."

"As an industry we have made progress delivering on our promises. We have prioritised the development of initiatives, such as Concept Viability, and the Code of Best Practice, to which 95% of firms holding large public sector contracts are now registered. These initiatives now provide the framework for substantive change and industry is committed to working with its counterparts in the public sector to embed these new ways of working and to create real and lasting cultural change. However, it is the responsibility of the public sector to ensure that its initiatives are successfully adopted."
