Much of the large volume manufacturing has shifted off-shore to areas such as mid-Europe and the Far East. The UK’s electronic design capability remains a significant force with world-class standards. This relies on the innovative spirit of the industry and is supported by the highly respected UK university and research fraternity.

Intellect recently has seen the remaining UK electronics manufacturing industry demonstrate resilience and flexibility with an ability to cope with change during the dramatic slimming down and adopt an even leaner profile to improve its productivity and competitiveness.

The need for the fast-track from design to market calls for local supplies for any product in the electronics interconnection field to enable the critical prototyping stage.
