Electronics KTN is critical to Industry’s future prosperity, says hi-tech trade body
Intellect comments as Department for Trade and Industry announces funding for the creation of an Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN)

Intellect, the trade association for the UK hi-tech industry, has welcomed the announcement by the Department for Trade and Industry of funding for the creation of an Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN).

Commenting Charles Ward, Chief Operating Officer at Intellect said;

“If the UK electronics industry is to be able to compete successfully against its global competitors then it is critical to  have a strong network to stimulate innovation and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge throughout the electronics community and beyond. This KTN is exactly the approach industry has been asking for, and we consider the Government’s announcement to be a positive and intelligent development for the electronics sector.”

“Intellect believes that a dedicated electronics KTN will help to ensure the future of the UK electronics industry and the markets that it underpins. We will now continue to work closely with Government and other organisations such as the IEE and NMI to help scope the remit of the KTN and clarify its objectives.”
