John Woodget

Intel Corporation (UK) Ltd

John Woodget is Intel’s Global Director for the Telecommunications sector based in the UK. Reporting into the HQ Sales & Marketing Organisation he is responsible for Intel’s Strategy for the Telco sector worldwide.

John joined Intel in 1979, initially working in Sales in the UK. This was followed by 9 years in the United States in Marketing Management roles in various Components and Systems Divisions. From 1990 to 2007 in EMEA he worked as Regional Sales Director, European Technical Director, European Marketing Director, Organisational Development Director and Telco Sector Director.
Before joining Intel, John worked as an Engineer in Avionics, Telecommunications and as an Industrial Computing Sales Engineer.

John received his BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from City University, London in 1974. He received his Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, London in 2007 and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.

John is also Intel’s Member and past President of the board of Intellect, the UK IT and Communications Industry Trade Association, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Intel’s UK Pension Plan Company and a Board Member of the “Community Trust”
John is married with three grown up children and in his spare time enjoys music and the arts, motorsport and sailing.
