Sean Finnan is President of Intellect, a trade association for the UK information technology, telecommunications and electronic industries. With 850 members from hi-tech industries, ranging from small and medium enterprises to blue chip multinationals, Intellect creates connections with government, regulators, customers and consumers.
In 2008, Sean became Sean Finnan became managing director for EDS UK and Ireland. This adds Central Government and Travel to his current responsibilities for UK Commercial business.
As Global Industry Leader for EDS’ Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business, Sean drives the strategy and performance of the company’s services in this industry, ensuring that EDS retains its leading position in this market.
Sean is also Vice President and Managing Director for EDS’ UK and Ireland Commercial business. In this P&L responsible role, he leads the communications, energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and transportation industries to deliver quality and innovation to EDS clients. Sean also serves on the EDS EMEA Board, the UK Board and is CEO of Eisis, the FSA regulated subsidiary of EDS.
Prior to these appointments, Sean was Vice President, Sales, for EDS’ sales and business development activities in EMEA, delivering a record sales period in the company’s history in this region.
Sean has a solid track record in international, client-facing roles. He was Division President for the European Customer Experience Business, which developed and implemented CRM and Supply Chain Management (SCM) offerings to a diverse client base.
Previously, in his role of Managing Director for UK major accounts, Sean oversaw relationships with EDS’ largest clients, leading the delivery of end-to-end capabilities for these major enterprises.
Sean joined EDS in 1985 from Vauxhall Motors where he worked as a Project Manager and sales support consultant before moving into account management in 1990, specialising in international roles.
Sean holds an MBA and an MSC in Organisational Behaviour. He is also a three-time EDS Inner Circle winner (recognising individuals achieving outstanding accomplishments). In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen skier. He and his wife live in Chorleywood with their three children.
