At a glance: The Workstream examines how the procurement environment and general commercial relationship with public sector clients can be optimised for the successful delivery of the required outcomes and to maximise benefit delivery.

Focus: proactively engaging with OGC and other government stakeholders in raising the level of discussion between government and industry for successful outcomes. The workstream has proposed goals for 2009 (agreed by Procurement Tiger Team):

• Reduce OJEU Procurement timescales
• Improve standard contract terms
• Increase procurement paperwork standardisation
• Increased early involvement of Industry
• Establish Framework best practice
• Establish a Government Frameworks Strategy
