Procurement Workstream Chair and Public Sector Council Vice Chair
Brian King Business Development Director Northgate Information Systems UK Ltd Brian is a Vice Chair of the Public Sector Council and leads the Procurement Improvement Workstream as well as the Frameworks Working Group on behalf of Intellect. He is a member of the UK Government Strategic Supply Management Board, and co-chairs the Joint Procurement Improvement Team. His day job is Strategic Development Director for Northgate Information Solutions. He has previously been UK Public Sector Vice President for SAIC and general manager of the UK Public Sector for Compaq/Digital. Brian hopes that his 40 years of experience in IT engineering, sales and general management will help him to foster an increasingly collaborative business environment between the Government and the UK ICT Industry, and that this will lead to more effective and efficient procurement of both Major IT Programmes and Frameworks.
