What is the Digital Inclusion Team?

The Digital Inclusion Team is sponsored by the Department for Communities and Local Government and based at the City of London Corporation. The members are:

Paul Waller – Director
Ewen McKinnon – Programme Manager
Caroline Pyke – Project Manager

The Digital Inclusion Team was set up following the Government report “Inclusion through innovation”. This report explored the role of ICT in improving services for socially excluded groups and deprived areas and recommended a central Government focal point to co-ordinate action and good practice in the use of ICT to tackle.

The  Digital Inclusion Team’s key objective is to develop a programme to make a difference to the lives and life chances of socially excluded people and deprived neighbourhoods through the application of digital technologies.

  • Drive innovation in applying existing technologies
  • Raise awareness and understanding
  • Create a community of practice
And deliver “Inclusion through Innovation”
