Julian David Julian David

Julian David is an Executive Consultant contracted to IBM UK working for the Office of the UK CGM. As part of this role he is a Vice Chair of the Public Sector Council of Intellect with particular responsibility for Green ICT and the UK Government Data Centre and G Cloud Strategy development. 

Julian has worked for IBM for 28 years after an early career in retail.  His last two roles at IBM were as Vice President of IBM’s Public Sector Business for the UK and South Africa and Vice President for General Business in IBM’s North Region. 

As VP for Public Sector he was responsible for IBM’s business across Central and Local Government, Defence and Public Safety, Education and Health and Life Sciences.

As VP General Business Julian ran IBM’s business for mid-sized and general business customers in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, South and Central Africa, where he was responsible for customer relationship management and all IBM sales to some 10,000 businesses in these countries. Key factors in his successful operation in these markets included harnessing resources from all parts of IBM as well as hundreds of business partners.

During his IBM career Julian has built up expertise in managing change within a large organisation, developing skills and building organisational capability and delivering business success in different cultures and countries.

Julian has two children, lives in Putney in London and in his spare time plays and follows football. He has been a School Governor for ten years at All Saints Primary School, Putney.
