Chair Stuart Mitchenall Tandridge District Council
Stuart is a member of the Management Team at Tandridge District Council, holding portfolio’s for partnership, Customer Services and the management of IT, media and facilities operations for the Council. He has worked in the Public Sector for virtually all his career, having been a Civil Servant with the now DWP before joining Tandridge.
His current role is to improve Tandridge District Council through the Customer Services agenda, which he believes must meet local perspectives as well as meeting more the general requirements of Local Government. Although a technologist he believes the answers to better working practices and relationships lies more in philosophical considerations; how do you break old habits, how do demonstrate the possible. The relationships necessary to deliver good IT supplier relationships also requires some letting go and a lot of commitment on both sides.
As a member of SOCITM he believes LA’s must cultivate wider relationships with the IT industry though partnerships which are fundamentally different from the traditional contractual ties. For more information contact:
