Vice chair David Hytch Logica
David is Logica’s Principal Industry Consultant within its Transport Division. He is currently working on a number of projects covering Smart media – in particular smartcard ticketing, Real Time Passenger Information, Road pricing and management, and vehicle/infrastructure interaction. Prior to this he worked as Head of Professional Services for ITS UK and as a consultant engaged by groups such as TfL and ITNet. Previously David held senior management positions within Schlumberger, Sema, and British Rail Business Systems during the privatisation process. His work covered a range of transport modes including bus, rail, airport and multimodal systems and solutions. These roles covered European and North American markets and included company acquisitions, product development, marketing and divestment.
David has been a director of ITSO and ITS UK. He was active in the APTA business group in the US. He has spoken at conferences on a range of topics covering Integration of Complex Systems, Ticketing, Back Office Settlement, Performance and Operations Management for multi and inter–modal services, smartmedia, security impacts for transport, environmental impacts, in the US, Europe and Asia. David has published a number of articles in industry and national publications.
His background and experience is in Business development, Information Technology, Strategic Development and Marketing.
