Following the publication of the Greening Government ICT Strategy in July 2008, the Intellect Public Sector Council formed a dedicated working group to help make the ambitions for greening government ICT a reality.

Our main areas of focus are:

• promoting evidence on how green ICT can not only cut carbon emissions, but also cut costs through operational efficiencies
• engaging with government on the greening government ICT strategy

• ICT: Greening the public sector: We have produced a Case study digest - ICT: Greening the public sector, which sets out examples of how suppliers have worked with government to green their ICT and green the government through ICT. We are now working to promote its messages.
