The Electronics Manufacturing and Design (EMD) Forum provides a quarterly platform to members operating in the electronics value-chain. The purpose is to share best practice and strategic information in order to ensure the UK electronics industry remains sustainable and competitive worldwide.
Key stakeholders are invited to speak about issues ranging from R&D funding opportunities, market intelligence to various practical ways to cut operational costs. Intellect EMD Forum meetings are conducted under Chatham House rule and speakers normally talk for around 20 minutes before taking questions from the floor. The meetings are followed by an opportunity to network informally with potential business partners, customers and suppliers.

Electronics Manufacturing and Design members
Intellect runs a variety of interest groups that serve UK based electronics manufacturers and subcontractors. These include Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabricators as well as manufacturers of specialist electronic components designed to withstand complex environments. Membership hence embraces manufacturers (OEMs and subcontractors), designers, distributors and ICT companies supporting manufacturers in the UK.
