Previous event: Intellect Annual Regent Conference 2011
Driving growth in the age of austerity
Thursday 03 February 2011 – Lancaster London, Lancaster Gate, London W2 2TY
|
There are many conflicting dynamics in today’s technology markets. Budgets are being cut, users are demanding more for their investments in IT, telecommunications and Internet services but... technology could be poised for another golden age.
This is happening at a time when the raw costs of computing are coming down. Cloud computing, mobile internet and an explosion in applications are all contributing to a market where the infrastructure is becoming a low-cost commodity. Competitive advantage will be driven by the quality of the technology and services that support the user – whether that user is a commercial business, a public sector organisation or a consumer.
The Intellect Regent Conference, now in its 16th year, was a one-day event that excelled in identifying the key trends that can be expected to define the industry in the future. Delegates were able to find out what leading industry executives, market analysts, investors and economists thought about the prospects for 2011.
