Campbell deals with a wide range of technology related disputes, both for buyers and suppliers of hardware, software and services. His clients range from major public bodies and companies listed on the FTSE to bespoke design bureaux and software houses. In recent months he has acted in disputes involving: • claims for software licence breach against a household name consumer goods business • an online marketing agency involving some novel technology to track and account for web-based sales • the procurement of an electronic patient record system for an NHS Foundation Trust • licensing of technology within a regulated market Campbell also deals with a wide range of soft IP disputes and defamation claims
Alan Whitfield, Legal Director and Company Secretary, Steria Ltd
Alan has been a solicitor since 1979 and has spent most of his career since then as an in-house lawyer in the ICT industry.
Alan joined Steria in 2005 to run its legal department. He is one of eight lawyers in the company, providing a full range of commercial and corporate legal services. He manages the dispute resolution practice in Steria, including both claimant and defendant cases in the High Court as well as various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
